It was raining and cold, and the doors weren't opened up on time, so the crowd got pissed off, and rained down, bottles, trash, anything they could on security guards blocking the doors. Most of the crowd was very drunk, and pissed off! When we got inside, it was still the same, lots of fights, and puke everywhere. Foghat, kicked ass, and the Faces did the same. Kicking soccer balls into the crowd, and during , "Twisting the night away", raining silver pin-pong balls down on, Rod Stewart, really got the crowd going, ( I got one!). The music was real good, and Ron Wood, played well, to bad he went to, The Rolling Stones, because he never played anything good again! With the Stones, he SUCKS!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01785479729971912637noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3294811369769114458.post-89321765250698030572018-10-10T18:50:35.722-07:002018-10-10T18:50:35.722-07:00Foghat opened for the Faces at the Cow Palace on 3...Foghat opened for the Faces at the Cow Palace on 3/2/75Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3294811369769114458.post-12698443587728388042017-09-21T16:09:37.641-07:002017-09-21T16:09:37.641-07:00We were up front, slightly left. Rod had been accused of opening his fly a few days earlier. Graham was clearly checking Rod's tight white pants and telling him to keep them on. When they finished talking Rod ran across stage, grabbed mic stand and slid into home base singing. The show was on.Chris Younghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14113863363586322829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3294811369769114458.post-46981652931963063672017-09-21T16:05:51.093-07:002017-09-21T16:05:51.093-07:00Foghat opened the show in 1974Foghat opened the show in 1974Chris Younghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14113863363586322829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3294811369769114458.post-64431931723341025882017-06-26T16:13:30.989-07:002017-06-26T16:13:30.989-07:00You actually expressed that effectively! You actually expressed that effectively!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3294811369769114458.post-80625599723395209792016-12-24T21:58:09.702-08:002016-12-24T21:58:09.702-08:00Are these pictures really from the show at the Cow...Are these pictures really from the show at the Cow Palace> I remember Rod wearing blue satin pants. Rory Gallagher was great EW&F was good I remember a band member playing some kind of instrument with his thumbs.also at one point the Faces had tons of violins backing them up for a few songs. At the end of the show seemed like 1,000 purple ping pong balls dropped to the stage. There seem to be no recordings from that time, and I wonder if you might have any memories of that.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3294811369769114458.post-740539560515195332010-06-04T07:46:06.751-07:002010-06-04T07:46:06.751-07:00You guys really bring these concerts to life with ...You guys really bring these concerts to life with your recollections. It's too bad the good times don't last forever, but having these memories, and writing them down to share them with the rest of us, is great. The pictures, by Dave and Dan, are wonderful.

Being crammed in and against a stage is no fun, and a few years ago some kids were killed at an AC/DC concert in my hometown in just that situation. You're lucky to lived to tell about it!

Love your blog, guys.Postinohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05853607848670921106noreply@blogger.com
